LSM Published a news article (2015) reporting on a Queensland Coroner's recommendation that the Mining Industry adopt Wireless Tyre Monitoring Sensing Equipment after the death of a miner in 2010 due to Tyre Explosion. So now, nearly 9 years on, has the industry adopted and implemented the mandate for TMSystems?

Another Rollaway is the most recent Casino Bus Rollaway that came so close- but thankfully did not turn into a disaster!

A Safety Alert has been provided by OTSI (Office of Transport Safety Investigations) about recent incident notifications to OTSI that have identified several bus and coach park brake application failures where vehicles roll away because drivers have not applied the park brake before vacating the driving position.

Monash University's National Road Safety Partnership Program (NRSPP) latest statistics reflect  / reinforces some of the reasons why the Australian Federal Government Transport Body is calling for legislated ADR for the use of Tyre Monitoring Systems (TMSystems) on Heavy Vehicles.

Uncontrolled Vehicle Movement / Rollaways happen quite regularly here in Australia - in fact, they happen every day, with most not reported.  See this recent event of the coupling of a Trailer at Tarcutta. The driver was thrown from the between the Truck / Trailer and reportedly was not hurt.
